SLC-SLC Our Latest "Trip"

We took a trip this past weekend (BTW:I Change the dates of my blog when I feel like it), to go through the WAshington D.C. Temple with Adam, hear his farewell talk, visit friends and family and for me to finally get to see Maine! Unfortunately, we didn't make it out of the Salt Lake Airport after being there for 6 hours, but I really can't complain. Security was a breeze, a nice TSA Guy told me I didn't have to dump Jacob's sippy cup of milk out, which is surprising because they have told me otherwise in the past. We called my mom ahead of time to arrange for a carseat to pick Jacob up in D.C. so we had very little LARGE luggage to carry. And of course, Brook was with us so she carried things I couldn't, watched Jacob while I went to the bathroom and played and played and played with him! Here are some pictures highlighting our Trip!

The Paparazzi even found Jacob at the Kidsport! On our way to Cinnabon we stopped at this gift shop. Jacob loved all these Sesame Street stuffed animals. We thought this was pretty amazing that Elmo was taller than Jacob!

It wasn't until after this trip that Jacob saw Sesame Street for the first time but he loved Cookie Monster! Here you can see action shots of him rolling on the floor hugging him!! I'm not sure the girl working at the store appreciated us testing out all the toys.
This picture was taken as we were trying for our last flight that should have left at 11:40 but was delayed about an hour...which means we waited until almost 1:00 am to find out that we had to go home:(

Linwood was a big hero that night when he came to pick us up (and brought his neighbors baby's carseat since ours was in Provo), eventhough he had a very early morning flight to catch himself! It was so cute when Jacob saw Linwood pull up to the curb, he was so happy! Since Ian had dropped us off at the Airport 6 hours earlier and now Linwood was taking us back to sleep at their apartment I think Jacob thought that was the trip--to visit Uncle Woody!!
